HOPE FOR CROHN'S

You are invited to participate in the Rachel A. Bonner Hope for Crohn's Run/Walk & Expo on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Over 500,000 people in the United States are affected by Crohn's disease. Net proceeds of this event will fund Crohn's research grants to help researchers find a cure and support education and outreach programs in our communities to raise awareness of Crohn's disease.

The Courses

The run/walk course covers 20.7 miles on the Iron Horse and Contra Costa Trails. With eight courses to choose from, there is a race for every fitness level. Participants can run as individuals or as a part of a relay team and the courses range from a 3K run/walk to a 35K run/walk. Each race has it's own starting line along the trails with all races ending at Heather Farms Park in Walnut Creek. Complete race information and online registration is available online at: www.hfcrunwalkexpo.homestead.com/RaceInformation.html.

The Expo

An expo and finish line festivities are being held for participants at Heather Farms Park from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Festivities will include exhibitors, silent auction, food, entertainment, talent show and a kids zone with carnival games. An awards ceremony for the races will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the expo.
