The Bankhead Theater will reopen in May with film screenings for a limited audience size. The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is an independent, 501(c)3, non-profit organization that operates three spaces: the Bankhead Theater, the Bothwell Arts Center and Downtown Art Studios. The mission of LVPAC is to offer a broad range of arts opportunities and experiences to engage a diverse community.
Originally scheduled for the week the theater closed a year ago, the classic film musical “Fiddler on the Roof” (1971) will be the first to return on Wednesday, May 19th. Seats will be held for original ticket holders, others will be sold when available. The Bankhead Theater looks forward to bringing back the joy of the arts through presentation of these high-quality films on their full-stage big screen until such time as they are able to again host live performances.
