The Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE) invites you to join them for the 2024 Pleasanton Run for Education. This signature community event is a great way to join with thousands of fellow walkers and runners to raise funds that help support Pleasanton schools! For over 25 years, PPIE has worked to enhance education throughout the Pleasanton Unified School District through a partnership of business, education and community. PPIE raises funds to support critical programs and to fund projects enhancing educational excellence for all students.
This year's 12th annual Run for Education race is being held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, and both starts and finishes at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The 2 Mile and 5K events start at 8:00 am and offers a family-friendly race from the Alameda County Fairgrounds through downtown Pleasanton. The Kids Challenge starts at 9:15 am and features a 0.5K course (0.25 miles). Details on race events may be found under the Race Information heading at: ppierun.com.
Complete course information, entrance fees and registration details are available online. Race entry fees range from $17 - $45. Registration information and forms can be found at: www.runsignup.com/PPIERun. PPIE will receive 100% of the proceeds raised at this event.
PPIE would welcome your participation as a volunteer Course Marshal along the race routes from approximately 6:30 to 10:00 am. You must be age 18 or older to volunteer, and can also participate alongside a buddy. Help direct the runners and walkers to ensure they stay on course and, in the process, cheer them on as they travel past your location! To sign up as a Course Marshal or for other volunteer opportunities, please visit: www.ppierun.com/volunteer.
