Join the Tri-Valley Anti-Poverty Collaborative for an important discussion on changing the dynamics of poverty in the Tri-Valley. The Tri-Valley Anti-Poverty Collaborative (TVAPC) is a special project of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance. Commenced in 2013, TVAPC has been dedicated to eliminating poverty in the Tri-Valley, and addressing the often hidden characteristics and causes of poverty in suburban areas. TVAPC promotes increased equity in the Tri-Valley community by sharing information, creating connections, and providing education.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance's TVAPC initiative invites the entire community to an in-depth roundtable on housing at "State of Housing in the Tri-Valley: A Deeper Dive". This event will take place at the Bankhead Theater, 2400 First Street, Livermore from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. The program will build on insights shared by county leaders and delve deeper into the innovative solutions being pioneered on the ground by local nonprofits. Participating leaders include Sharan Aminy, Tri-Valley Haven; John Bost, Open Heart Kitchen; Christine Beitsch-Bahmani, CityServe of the Tri-Valley; Kim Curtis, Goodness Village; Susan Houghton, Sunflower Hill; and Laning Thompson, Interfaith Housing, Inc. These presenters will share their perspectives and experiences, offering a closer look at how their organizations are addressing the urgent housing needs of the most vulnerable populations in the Tri-Valley and how they work together to build lasting solutions.
