Despite recent rains, California is still experience drought conditions. At their recent meeting, the City of Pleasanton called for a resumption of a Stage 2 level of water use restrictions. Even as irrigation season begins to conclude for the year, water management is critical to address ongoing water supply issues. All managers of irrigation should be advisded to comply with the current restrictions recently enacted.
Under Pleasanton's Stage 2 level of water use restrictions, a number of controls have been put in place to aid in water conservation efforts. The current requirement is for potable water users to reduce their water consumption by at least 15% over their 2020 usage. These restrictions do not apply to irrigation systems using reclaimed water. A summary of the actions that must be taken while the Stage 2 restrictions are in place can be found here: admin.cityofpleasantonca.gov/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BlobID=35693.
