From the outside, Prodigy Fitness may look like any other gym. It has dumbbells, kettlebells, and medicine balls like other fitness studios. Unlike other gyms, Prodigy Fitness provides a fun, friendly environment that allows clients to finally reach their fitness goals.
"All gyms are not created equal," says Andrew Hamel MS, CSCS, Owner and Head Strength Coach. "A successful gym is one that is focused on getting great results for their clients and doing it in an environment that makes people feel welcome and unintimidated. Our secret ingredient is how we make our clients feel. Our hospitality is unmatched. You will not find a better experience than what we provide."
Prodigy Fitness transforms lives by helping clients get stronger, burn fat, have more energy, move better, feel better, look better, and improve their confidence so they can live their best life, according to Hamel. Prodigy offers personalized training in a group setting with a coach-to-client ratio of 1:6.
That ratio allows Prodigy to provide each and every one of its clients with the best possible experience. How is Prodigy able to help its clients transform their lives? By "motivating, educating, and inspiring our clients to become the best versions of themselves through health and fitness so that they can reach their full potential," notes Hamel.
Clients agree that Prodigy is a friendly and supportive environment for becoming more fit. "Since joining Prodigy three months ago, I have lost over 30 pounds and feel the healthiest and strongest that I have been in years," says area resident Bobby Ramirez. "I thank the Prodigy team every day for helping me through the transition to a healthier lifestyle. Hands down the best community based training in the area!"
According to another client, "The Prodigy team has been nothing short of amazing as coaches and mentors. We sat down and they helped me define a game plan in regards to diet and workout routine. Like most I was intimidated to join, fearful of the unknown, but Prodigy provides a welcoming, non-intimidating environment that really promotes success for it's clients. I knew the journey would be tough, but what I am learning about myself is that I am a lot stronger mentally and physically than I thought."
Hamel began his career providing strength and conditioning as well as speed and agility services for young athletes but now offers fitness support to all ages through Prodigy Fitness. Hamel holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Wilmington College in Ohio and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Cal State East Bay. His wife is also involved in the business, which was founded in 2013. The company supports the larger community through quarterly Sweat 4 A Cause events that benefit local non-profits. These fundraising workouts both generate funds as well as awareness for all of the great work that the chosen nonprofit does.
Prodigy moved to Hacienda in July 2016. "Hacienda provides us with a clean, professional-looking environment for us to provide the best quality service to our clients," notes Hamel, who encourages Hacienda Pulse readers to download Prodigy's free ebook on fitness at https://prodigyfitness-ebook.com/lead-magnet.
