In March 2022,  Jonathan C. Wang, DDS Inc. opened for business in Hacienda. The dental practice, which provides a variety of services, is enrolling new patients and accepts PPO insurance.  Services include general family dentistry for all ages, including children; dental cleaning and prevention; Invisalign clear aligners; mouthguards and nightguards; emergency dental care; and extractions. The practice also offers bridges, implants, and dentures for patients who need them, as well as cosmetic dentistry ranging from veneers, composite fillings, crowns, and teeth whitening services.

In order to fulfill our mission, we offer many different dental treatments to meet our patients’ needs after thoroughly assessing their dental conditions. Not only do we offer high-quality and personalized dental procedures, but we also create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel at home.”

The dental practice uses advanced digital technology to help patients achieve a healthy smile. Among the tools it employs is a small, wand-like device known as an intraoral scanner that instantly captures accurate 3D images of teeth and gums. The practice uses this method to send images to a dental lab for Invisalign orthodontic treatment as well as crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, and dentures. It also uses an intraoral camera to capture a highly detailed view of every aspect of a patient’s mouth. This technology allows Dr. Wang to share images with patients to help them better understand any problems as well as treatment options.

Recently, a patient broke off a front tooth over a weekend. Dr. Wang was able to repair it the same day. After the emergency dental appointment, the patient was alleviated of pain, according to Dr. Wang, who says that seeing Pleasanton patients smile is his favorite part of the business. Dr. Wang was born and raised in the Bay Area and comes from a family of healthcare providers who have always emphasized patient-centered service and quality.

Dr. Wang attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Health Care Studies. Following undergraduate studies, he moved to San Francisco to attend the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. During his time at dental school, Dr. Wang volunteered on a Philippines Mission Trip and provided dental care to an underserved school in Cebu City. He also  completed a General Practice Residency Program at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. Dr. Wang is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Southern Alameda County Dental Society, and Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce.  

“I moved my company to Hacienda because I wanted to create a start-up dental practice in a vibrant diverse community,” notes Dr. Wang, who is an active community volunteer. In April, he participated in Give Veterans a Smile by providing dental services and Covid-19 screenings to veterans at the Union City Dental Care Center. In June and July 2022, he taught oral hygiene instruction at multiple Extended Day Child Care locations. Dr. Wang will soon be teaching as a clinical faculty member at his dentistry school alma mater in San Francisco.
