She plans to create a product in this field that consolidates and leverages the team's existing expertise in AI/machine learning, data science, and automation. The CEO projects that this field alone will drive 200% growth for the firm over the next two to three years.

Supporting internal skill building and professional development delivered a key win a few years ago. A client's team developing an interactive voice response product lacked front end product console knowledge. The TekValley team included experts in the platform who could fill the expertise gaps in the client's team.
 
"TekValley trained the client's team in key areas," says Chawla. "At handover, the client's team had become proficient in all aspects of their product development. Management was very appreciative of TekValley's services, which had a transformative impact on its team."

When Chawla founded TekValley, there were few founders of technology companies who were women and even fewer who were women of color, notes Chawla. Since then, "I have proved myself in the industry, and our name is quite well known." TekValley has been recognized as a top 100 women-led business by San Francisco Business Times and as an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company.
 
The CEO sits on the board of the Sunflower Hill nonprofit and supports the community in other ways as well. Each year TekValley invites young women and girls to be trained in new technology skills. "Many have gone on to work as part of TekValley teams and others have pursued careers at companies such as Cisco, Apple, Wells Fargo, GAP, Google, and more," she says. The company encourages participants in the program to stay in contact and expand their networks of women in tech. "We have to be the change we've been waiting for globally and not just in the USA."

TekValley's corporate headquarters are located in Hacienda. It also has offices in Texas, Canada, India, and Singapore. "We moved to Hacienda in 2007 as we wanted to be part of a city that was growing in new businesses and also great to raise our family," notes Chawla. "We didn't think there was any other town better than Pleasanton, and we haven't regretted our decision for a day."
