In January 2025, in partnership with LG Electronics, Portrait Displays unveiled the all-new AutoCal – LG Ultimate Workflow, exclusively available in its Calman Ultimate software. This collaboration brings calibration closer to a single-click process, delivering automation and efficiency for engineers and calibrators. The LG Ultimate Workflow is tailored for professionals who demand a streamlined, automated calibration process without sacrificing accuracy.

By setting up the workflow to calibrate Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Dolby Vision, users can initiate the process and let Calman handle the rest. The system automates mode switching, lookup-table uploads, and post-calibration readings, freeing users to focus on other tasks rather than manually stepping through each calibration stage. For users who prefer a more hands-on approach, the AutoCal – LG Workflow remains available, providing full customization throughout the calibration process.

Calman manages pattern control, resolution settings, and mode transitions for SDR, HDR, and Dolby Vision, ensuring a fully automated, user-friendly experience. The LG Ultimate Workflow is designed to empower users to “batch” calibrations, enabling Calman to execute the entire process with minimal user intervention, officials say. As the master product of all Calman software, Calman Ultimate empowers users with unmatched tools and functionality to ensure superior color accuracy on screens of all sizes.
