PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda, the largest business development of its kind in Northern California, has started the year with encouraging news on occupancy and has once again been named in the Best Sites category as part of the 2024 Best Workplaces for Commuters awards. The BWC program's National Standard of Excellence serves as the hallmark for these distinguished organizations, collectively revolutionizing the daily commute for over 1.7 million individuals.

Occupancy and Leasing

Hacienda is beginning to see some rays of improvement in the occupancy figures recorded in the first months of 2024. Activity year to date reflected an increase in occupancy, adding to the positive outlook at the start of 2024; the total occupancy at the close of January came to 6,861,279 square feet, which is a 6,605 square-foot increase from the previous month.

Most of the year-to-date activity came from available space under 10,000 square feet, which accounted for 75% of all transactions and 35.15% of the total volume of leased space. Conversely, 25% of deals were in spaces sized 10,000 - 50,000 square feet, accounting for 64.85% of all space leased during the year.
