The Pleasanton Lions Club has opened the Lions Ticket Office and Visitors Center at their building in Wayside Park at 10 W. Neal Street at the corner of Railroad Avenue in downtown Pleasanton.
The facility provides "one-stop shopping" for tickets to a number of community events, promotional items such as mugs and t-shirts from local non-profits, and even souvenirs of the Tri-Valley.
BART tickets are available as well.
Events are listed on a signboard on the south side of the building. Several local publications, including Hacienda Network, will also be publicizing ticket availability. In addition, event listings will be carried on Pleasanton's local cable access channel, CTV30.
The Lions Ticket Office carries tickets for the Classical Philharmonic, Livermore Symphony, Livermore Valley Opera, Pleasanton Band, Pleasanton Playhouse, the Pot O'Gold Chorus, and the Valley Choral Society.
Tickets are sold as well for events sponsored by the Alameda County Fair, City of Pleasanton, First Presbyterian Church, Pleasanton Downtown Association, Pleasanton Lions, and Pleasanton Schools.
The office was first used this summer to sell advance tickets for the Alameda County Fair. Wholesale ticket sales were handled by fair personnel from the location, as well as discounted tickets for the public. The success of this program led to the current expansion.
The Lions Ticket Office was also instrumental in selling tickets to the first Olsen Family Fund barbecue, also held at the Fairgrounds.
Additional information is available by calling the Lions Ticket Office at (925) 461-5350. The Ticket Office is currently open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, during the Farmer's Market.
Extended hours are offered in the summer, when the office remains open until 8:00 pm on Friday nights.
