Vanstar Corporation and Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) have agreed to provide a top-tier leasing and technology refresh program to enterprise customers. The program will enable Vanstar to propose effective one-stop leasing to businesses that require multimillion dollar hardware, software and support solutions. With HP's global finance presence, the alliance is expected to strengthen Vanstar's multinational capability and increase its presence in major global regions.

Lucent Technologies' Remote Access Business Unit has placed 18 of its PortMaster 3 Integrated Access Servers with Universo Online (UOL), the largest Internet service provider in Brazil. UOL maintains dial-in points of presence (POPs) in 47 major cities nationwide and maintains the most visited Portuguese-language web site in the world.
Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce
The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce has hired David Bouchard as executive director. Bouchard joins the Chamber, the city's largest business organization with over 900 members, following his experience at the Gilroy Garlic Festival and the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce.
