The Bay Area is criss-crossed with public transit networks of all varieties, from rail and trolley to both commuter and local buses. Here's a directory of the primary transit companies that provide services that might be of use to Hacienda commuters.

AC Transit

AC Transit buses serve Alameda and western Contra Costa Counties and provide many connections to BART.

Altamont Commuter Express (ACE)

ACE provides Central Valley commuters in Stockton, Manteca, and Tracy a rail connection to Pleasanton and beyond. WHEELS provides Hacienda buses for both incoming and outgoing ACE trains.

BART

BART connects four Bay Area counties and, best of all, it's here in Hacienda. All BART trains arriving in Hacienda during commute hours are met by WHEELS buses that travel throughout the park.

Caltrain

Caltrain runs between Gilroy in the south and San Francisco in the north. The rail system offers links to BART, ACE, Amtrak, and both San Francisco's Muni and Santa Clara's VTA light rail.

Amtrak/Capitol Corridor

Four round trip trains run daily between San Jose and Sacramento with stops in between. A Richmond stop allows easy transfer to BART.

County Connection

The County Connection offers bus service within central Contra Costa County as well as some connections to Pleasanton.

Golden Gate Transit

Golden Gate Transit offers both bus and ferry service connecting Marin County with San Francisco, including several convenient connections to BART and MUNI in San Francisco.

MAX Commuter Express

The San Mateo County Transit District bus service, SamTrans, runs primarily in San Mateo County but also offers connections to San Francisco and Santa Clara counties.

San Joaquin Regional Transit (SMART) serves the Stockton and Tracy areas and also provides an express bus to the East Dublin/Pleasanton BART station in Hacienda.

Tri-Delta Transit

Tri-Delta Transit serves eastern Contra Costa County and provides commuter connections to the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station.

The VTA offers bus and light rail service in the Santa Clara Valley, including many shuttles to and from CalTrain stops.

WHEELS offers bus service throughout the Tri-Valley area, including their recently-introduced Walnut Creek Commuter Express Bus. All WHEELS buses are equipped with bike racks.

All Hacienda employees and residents are eligible for free WHEELS passes from the Hacienda Owners Association. To order passes, call the Hacienda Transportation Hotline at (925) 734-6551 or via the Hacienda web site. Your pass will be delivered to your place of business.
