Xign Corporation
Hacienda's Xign Corporation is now selling Release 8.0 of its award-winning "Order to Pay" software suite. The new product enables organizations to proactively capture early pay discounts across all invoices, regardless of method of receipt or transactional strategy. This includes invoices captured through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), imaging systems, and paper. Other innovations include Legacy Invoice Capture, which allows any Xign's software to capture any posted invoice, regardless of method of receipt; Supplier Visibility, which provides suppliers with 24/7 visibility for invoices captured by Xign; and Advanced Discount Capture on Legacy Invoices, which allows buying organizations to recognize and redeem early pay discounts on invoices using Xign's discount capture tools.
Polycom
Polycom, which is headquartered in Hacienda, has introduced the Computer Calling Kit, an option for industry-leading SoundStation2 and SoundStation2W (wireless) conference phones that gives callers a high level of voice quality, clarity and hands-free capability when using web-based calling services, including those from Skype, Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo, and soft phones. The Computer Calling Kit enables the conference phones to serve as the microphone and speaker for web-based calling services, soft phones, and is compatible with Polycom PVX for desktop video calls.
Visioneer
Visioneer has introduced the Visioneer Strobe XP 470, the company's first color sheetfed document scanner that complies with U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) specifications. It scans up to 66 images per minute in duplex mode and has the ability to automatically scan documents into searchable PDF files at a price of under $1,200. The Strobe XP 470 was designed specifically for desktop use and incorporates Visioneer's OneTouch technology for eliminating multiple steps in sending scanned documents to predetermined applications or devices. The scanner will also include Kofax VirtualReScan(TM) 4.0 software providing excellent image quality and superior optical character recognition accuracy.
ValleyCare Health System
Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante has appointed Marcy Feit, president and CEO of ValleyCare Health System, to the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee overseeing California's stem-cell research initiative, which was created when voters approved Proposition 71 in 2004. "Ms. Feit has spent her entire 32-year career in Central Valley health-care programs," Bustamante says. "Californians are very fortunate to have a person with her medical knowledge and management skills on the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee."
Iron Planet
Last month, Hacienda's Iron Planet sold $2 million of heavy equipment in an auction for Martin K. Eby Construction, a firm that discontinued its Florida operations and commissioned Iron Planet to sell their equipment and rolling stock. The auction drew over 6,000 registered bidders from across the U.S. as well as seven other countries. A 2001 Volvo L90D wheel loader was sold for $79,000, the auction's highest bid.
