  • Polycom

    Polycom's VSX 5000, an entry-level video conferencing solution, received a 2006-2007 Well Connected Award from the editors of Network Computing Magazine. The awards honor the year's outstanding technology products and services. "We are very pleased with this recognition from the editors of Network Computing," says Ed Ellett, senior vice president and general manager of video communications at Polycom. "2005 was a significant year for Polycom video conferencing products with the introduction of new solutions like the VSX 5000, which delivers unparalleled performance in an entry-level solution. These solutions also extend the integration of Polycom video communications with leading IP telephony and presence-based communications environments from Alcatel, Avaya, IBM, Lucent Technologies, Microsoft and Nortel."

    CPU TECH, a Hacienda-based manufacturer of semiconductors using high-performance System-on-Chip (SoC) technology, will provide BAE Systems with component control systems for their Bradley vehicles. "CPU TECH is pleased to continue our delivery of high quality electronics systems to BAE Systems to support reliability and cost improvements for the Bradley," says Ed King, founder and CEO of CPU TECH. "Our mission is to supply state of the art, compatible technology solving obsolescence, power, size, weight and performance problems which continue to plague consumers of high performance embedded computing."

    ZANTAZ has been identified as a visionary company in Gartner Research's new report, "Magic Quadrant for E-Mail Archiving, 2006-2007." Gartner's Magic Quadrant reports provide a graphical representation of their independent analysis of a specific marketplace and how certain vendors score against criteria for those products, including the company's vision, execution, market understanding, sales strategy, innovation, business model, and customer service experience.     AdventNet has added Oracle Application Server monitoring to the new release of its ManageEngine Applications Manager, a web application management program that provides integrated applications and server monitoring. The software now supports an impressive list of both applications and servers, including Windows Event Logs, Tru64 Unix, J2EE Application Servers, Microsoft Applications, IBM Applications, web sites, and more. "With support for Oracle AS, AdventNet offers deep visibility into the health and performance of Oracle Applications," says Hyther Nizam, director of Product Management at AdventNet. "This enhancement complements the existing support for Oracle Databases and makes ManageEngine Applications Manager even more attractive for enterprise IT teams to proactively monitor production applications."
