Booming Company Now Employs Over 900 at Five Locations in Park
Times are excellent for Robert Half International (RHI). Coming off a record-earnings year of $4 billion and global expansion to countries like Japan, India and China, the atmosphere companywide is filled with good feeling and excitement. What better time to announce the company's fourth expansion in Hacienda in 10 years with the opening of offices at 4155 Hopyard Road. With this latest expansion, more than 900 RHI employees are employed at five locations in Pleasanton.
According to Robert Half International spokesperson Michael Weiss, the West Las Positas facility houses several groups within the company's corporate services operations. Pleasanton is home to RHI's information technology, accounting, human resources, travel and training departments, all of which support the company's global network of more than 400 locations worldwide.
Robert Half International (RHI) was founded in 1948 and was the first to provide placement services for accounting, finance and information technology professionals. Beginning in 1986, RHI's current management team led the firm from a small franchisor to its present position as an international operating company in the staffing industry by reacquiring franchises, opening new offices and starting new divisions. RHI is now the world's leading specialized staffing service with staffing and consulting locations in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. All of the firm's offices are now company owned and operated.
Robert Half International has seven divisions: Accountemps®, Robert Half® Finance & Accounting and Robert Half® Management Resources, for temporary, full-time and senior level project professionals, respectively, in the fields of accounting and finance; OfficeTeam®, for highly skilled temporary administrative support; Robert Half® Technology, for information technology professionals; Robert Half® Legal, for temporary, project and full-time staffing of attorneys, paralegals and legal support personnel; and The Creative Group®, for creative, advertising, marketing and web design professionals.
"Hacienda and Pleasanton have been good to us and our employees enjoy working here," says Weiss. "We're also happy to be involved in the local community as part of the company's commitment to education and workforce development, including participation in Junior Achievement and the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation where RHI's Shawn Batoy sits on the Board of Directors. In addition, our employees are excited and enthusiastic about supporting efforts that benefit the American Heart Association's Wear Red Day and Red Cross blood drives, fundraising for breast cancer research and Waves to Wine benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society."
"We are excited about our company's ongoing expansion and the growing career opportunities we can offer to professionals in the local community," adds Linda Blandford-Beringsmith, Robert Half International vice president of human resources.
In 2006-2007, for the second straight year, Robert Half International was named one of the best places to work in the San Francisco Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times, East Bay Business Times and Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. The company appears consistently on Fortune magazine's list of "America's Most Admired Companies." Extensive information about the company is available at www.rhi.com.
