Hacienda Special Offers Program Makes Discounts Available to Park Tenants, Residents

The holidays are known as a time of giving but for Hacienda tenants and residents, the park's Special Offers program gives all year! Thanks to a variety of local and regional businesses, attractions, and organizations, discounts are available on meals, concerts, commute alternatives, services, and more.

Taking advantage of these offers is simple. Park employees or residents simply register at the Hacienda web site (www.Hacienda.org) by clicking on "Login / Create Account" at the top of the page. Once the account is set up and eligibility as a tenant or resident is verified, the Special Offers program may be accessed by clicking on "Tools" in the upper right of any page, then "Special Offers" from the ensuing menu. Details on how to use each offer are available on that offer's page. Here is a summary of the current list of "Special Offers" made available to park tenants and residents:

Arts

Bankhead Theater The Livermore Performing Arts Center's 500-seat Bankhead Theater serves as the home for a number of the area's finest performing arts organizations, including Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore Valley Opera, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Pacific Chamber Symphony, and the Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre. In addition, the theater hosts visiting performance ensembles from around the Bay Area, including the Lamplighters Musical Theatre, Oakland Ballet, and the California Theatre Center, as well as providing performance and recital space for some of the area's music, dance and theatrical training programs. You can also enjoy a full array of performance activities drawn from artists and ensembles across the United States and beyond. Blackhawk Museums The Blackhawk Museums not only has a large exhibition of classic, rare and unique cars but has recently opened a new exhibition, The Spirit of the Old West, a collection of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the American Indian and Emigrant lives before, during and after the great westward expansion. In addition to these two exhibitions, the Museum holds many special events throughout the year including a speaker series and music performances. Hacienda affiliates are eligible for 25 percent off an introductory membership and a special two admissions for the price of one admission.

Concerts at Wente Vinyeyards Every summer for more than 25 years, The Concerts at Wente Vineyards has showcased world-renowned entertainers in the winery's picturesque natural amphitheater. Guests enjoy pre-concert sunset dinners outdoors or in The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards. Past artists include James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Harry Connick, Jr., John Fogerty, Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, Diana Ross, Train, Brad Paisley, Counting Crows and many more. Hacienda discounts for next season are expected to be announced by June 1, 2016.

Livermore Valley Opera The mission of Livermore Valley Opera is to enrich the community by producing the world's best operas, and to foster the careers of talented opera singers. They encourage a wider appreciation of opera and the associated arts. Livermore Valley Opera was founded in 1992, and presents fully-staged operas in the spring and fall at the Bankhead Theater. Pacific Chamber Symphony Pacific Chamber Symphony is a California based 30 member orchestra with a dynamic conductor, brilliant musicians, beautiful music, and a friendly atmosphere. Pacific Chamber Symphony's intoxicating sound melds chamber music's intimate clarity with instrumental variety and symphonic power. Park tenants and residents will receive one month of shredding free when you sign up for three months of shredding service.

Hacienda families now have a special opportunity to participate in the Genius Kids program. For first time enrollees, Genius Kids will waive the $50.00 application fee and offer 10 percent off the tuition for your first child and an additional 5 percent discount for siblings.

New World Music Academy Among the most popular offerings at the New World Music Academy are their summer workshops, which allow students to improve skills with their world-class educators and local professional musicians. While this summer is gone, new discounts are anticipated in 2016.

Wheels ECO Pass One of Hacienda's key commuting benefits is the ECO Pass the park issues which allows Hacienda employees and residents to ride the local Wheels buses for free seven days a week, 365 days a year. Wheels buses connect the Tri-Valley area to locations throughout Hacienda. Wheels buses also meet each incoming ACE and BART train during the peak commute hours to shuttle Hacienda employees to their businesses and residents to their respective stations. In addition, Wheels I-680 Express bus service provides a direct link for people commuting between Hacienda and Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek.

511 Regional Rideshare The 511 Regional Rideshare Program provides the most comprehensive ride-matching service in Northern California and is accessible via both telephone and the web. The program maintains a large database, which in many cases allows instant matching, so it is easy to find an existing carpool or vanpool, or to create a new one with someone who lives and works nearby. AC Transit Trial Ride AC Transit Hacienda has a number of resources available for your alternative commute. Offers made under our New Rider program provide a wide array of free incentives to let you experience some terrific commuting options first hand. Traveling to Hacienda from the San Francisco Peninsula? AC Transit offers a free pass for first-time users to try their special connecting services, Line M TransBay Express and Line DB (Dumbarton Bridge) TransBay Express.

ACE Trial Ride Traveling to Hacienda from the San Joaquin Valley? First-time riders can enjoy a free test drive ticket for two free consecutive days of travel on any ACE train and connecting bus. Train schedules and rider information are posted at www.AceRail.com.

BART Trial Ride Are you a first-time rider interested in a free ride on the Bay Area's most comprehensive rail system? Place your order to request a BART new rider ticket, and Hacienda will send you a special invitation from BART to try their system. Complete system information can be found at www.BART.gov.

City CarShare Join City CarShare, the only local, non-profit carsharing organization in the Bay Area. In Hacienda, City CarShare has launched Dash, a 100 percent electric carsharing fleet, in partnership with Toyota. For park employees and residents, City CarShare sign-up is just $25.00 along with $25.00 in free driving credits. In addition, Hacienda Dash discount plan participants enjoy discounted hourly and mileage rates from $4.50 per hour and 35 cents per mile.

County Connection Trial Ride County Connection offers connectivity to central Contra Costa County and serves such areas as Alamo, Clayton, Danville and San Ramon to name a few. A free one way ticket is available to first time riders. Information and bus schedules are available at www.cccta.org.

Guaranteed Ride Home The Alameda County Guaranteed Ride Home program does just what it says. It guarantees you a free ride home from work if you have an emergency and you have made the effort to avoid commuting alone in your car. You can feel comfortable taking the bus, train, or ferry, carpooling, vanpooling, walking, or bicycling to work, knowing that you will have a ride home in case of illness, family crisis, unscheduled overtime, or a missed rideshare trip.

Rideshare Pass A special rideshare pass is available from Hacienda to allow you access to preferred parking when you carpool (two to six people driving to work together regularly) or vanpool (seven or more people commuting together) to work. In addition to 511 Regional Rideshare (see above), Hacienda also works with two other organizations offering comprehensive vanpooling programs: VPSI and Enterprise. These organizations offer a variety of program options to help customize their vanpooling arrangements to meet customer needs while taking care of the majority of the administrative details themselves. Combined, they offer a number of different leases and can work individually with employers and employees to customize convenient vanpool commutes for a variety of group sizes.

Scoop Trial Ride Scoop is a mobile app that lets employees share trips to and from work with a single click. Employees can choose to drive or ride each day at the time of their choosing. Scoop riders save 30 to 40 percent on their commute costs vs. driving alone and Scoop drivers save up to 100 percent with just a few passengers. Scoop manages the application, ride matching, customer service, and guarantees all participants a ride home each day. With this Hacienda Special Offer, all participants will get one week of commutes covered for free, and will also receive a $1.00 discount on all future trips - an ongoing discount of up to 25 percent.

San Joaquin Regional Transit District Trial Ride The San Joaquin Regional Transit District offers a free pass for first-time users to try their first class commuting services for one week. The RTD-BART Commuter connects every weekday from Stockton, Tracy, and Manteca to BART for only $7 each way. Skip the driving, the gas, and the parking!

Eddie Papa's American Hangout Eddie Papa's American Hangout, on Hopyard Road in Hacienda, is a family friendly, American-style bar and grill featuring signature regional dishes from around the country along with handcrafted artisan beverages. The Hacienda discount ticket program allows employees and residents to purchase the Boomers Livermore Play Pass, which includes 4 hours of Go-Karts, Lazer Tag, Minature Golf, and Bumper Boats, for more than a 50 percent discount.

California Academy of Sciences With an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum and a four-story rainforest all under one roof, there is no shortage of incredible experiences waiting for you at the California Academy of Sciences. Great America California's Great America has one of the best selections of rides and water rides in Northern California. Discount tickets, as well as Gold Season Passes, are offered through the Hacienda web site.

Knott's Berry Farm Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park is 160 acres of world-class rides, live shows, Camp Snoopy and much more. Hacienda employees and residents qualify for substantial discounts on single day admissions to both Knott's Berry Farm and its sister park, Soak City Orange County. Legoland The Legoland California Resort comprises LEGOLAND California, Sea Life Aquarium, and LEGOLAND Water Park. With more than 60 rides, shows and attractions you are sure to find fun for the entire family. Monterey Bay Aquarium Enjoy sea otter antics up close and personal, visit the touch pools to get a hands on experience of the creatures just outside the aquarium doors, and be sure to visit the Tentacles exhibit at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Hacienda tenants and residents receive $5 off each admission.

Oakland Aviation Museum The Oakland Aviation Museum was founded in 1981 as the Western Aerospace Museum and uses the historic, 1939 Boeing School of Aeronautics hangar as its primary facility. This discount allows park employees and residents to purchase an adult admission and get the second one free.

Oracle Arena and O.co Hacienda affiliates can enjoy savings through the VIP Club and on tickets for select family shows normally reserved for large groups. Currently, discounts are available for the Monster Energy Supercross on Saturday, January 30; Monster Jam on Saturday, February 20; and Disney on Ice presents FROZEN, with performances from February 24-28.
