Voxeleron Software Improves Disease Detection
Voxeleron has introduced advanced optical coherence tomography (OCT) analysis software called Orion that could help physicians better diagnose such crippling diseases as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
Orion is fully-automated software that can rapidly and accurately segment seven retinal layers in OCT images. Current OCT analysis tools have limited function that allows only two or three retinal layers to be analyzed.
The retina in the eye is an extension of the central nervous system. The health of the retina is closely tied to the health of the brain. Overwhelming evidence proves the clinical importance of the inner retinal layers in the detection of disease and prognosis.
Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease) and multiple sclerosis are among the most debilitating neurological diseases that could be better diagnosed with the use of Orion. Early work studying deeper layers of the retina has shown potential for early detection and accurate diagnosis of such diseases.
Early detection of these diseases can allow for early intervention and better clinical options. Orion offers the unique ability to isolate and quantify retinal layers, empowering fundamental clinical research.

Veeva Vault Improves Efficiency for Life Sciences Industry

Waters Recognized for Product Innovation
Waters Corporation has been recognized as a product innovator by Frost & Sullivan, a global consulting firm that releases annual awards for industry leaders.
Waters received the 2014 product innovation award for its PATROL UPLC process analysis system, marking it as a leader in the global process liquid chromatography market.

iTradeNetwork Improves Efficiency of Nation's Food Supply
The nation's food network is operating more efficiently, thanks to a new food traceability project from iTradeNetwork.
