Oracle Releases Tools for Big Data
Oracle has released a variety of big data solutions that simplify information access and discovery, enabling customers to turn raw data into usable information quickly. Oracle Big Data Discovery, Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data, Oracle Big Data SQL 1.1, and Oracle NoSQL Database 3.2.5 further Oracle's vision to enable Hadoop, NoSQL, and SQL technologies to work together and be deployed securely in any model - whether public cloud, private cloud or an on-premises infrastructure.
"Data is a new kind of capital and enterprises must invest their data capital strategically to create the best return," said Neil Mendelson, vice president of big data at Oracle. "Oracle gives customers an integrated platform that helps simplify access to all their data, discover new insights, predict outcomes in real time, and keep all their data governed and secure."
ThinkHR Posts Record Growth
ThinkHR, a Hacienda-headquartered provider of cloud-based and live expert HR resources, saw record growth in 2014. The company more than doubled the size of its user base, with year-over-year growth of 115 percent; posted year-over-year revenue growth of nearly 60 percent for the third consecutive year; introduced new services to both better serve existing customers and to expand market opportunities; and migrated to a new technology platform that allows a more robust self-service capability for customers.
"For the third year in a row we've seen tremendous growth and results," said ThinkHR founder and CEO Pete Yozzo. "In 2014, we invested significantly in expanding and enhancing our technology, but we didn't lose sight of the human experience that has made us special all along. Visioneer Debuts New Xerox DocuMate 5540 Scanner
