It's a busy time for the movers as three different Hacienda projects have been completed and are in the process of being occupied.
Leading the list is Shaklee's beautiful new corporate headquarters at 4747 Willow Road. The nutritional products company began moving in on November 6 and will complete the relocation of its San Francisco office and a portion of its Hayward office over the course of the next month.
The first phase, consisting of two buildings which total 127,000 square feet, will be occupied by about 280 employees, according to Shaklee real estate manager Jan Kessler.
"There's no timetable yet for the other buildings, which will include a lab and a cafeteria," she adds.
Next on the mover's checklist is ADG Development's project at 4780 Chabot Drive. PurpleTie.com has leased the 12,000 square foot second floor. The building's roster is rounded out by New Century Title Co. and Corporate America Family Credit Union. The facility, within walking distance of Hacienda's BART station, also features below-grade parking.
Also open are the first buildings of Archstone Hacienda, a 540-unit apartment complex on Owens Drive at Rosewood Drive.
To date, 140 units have been completed and they're being leased at a rapid rate.
The upscale complex is proving to be popular with Hacienda employees.
"They like walking to work - there's no commute," says Janell Miller, leasing consultant.
Adding to their popularity is a special discount for Hacienda tenants. Anyone who works in Hacienda is entitled to a five percent discount in rent, and the application fee is also waived for park employees.
