On-Site Training Programs Offered by Center for Business and Education Partnerships

Looking for a customized training solution at a bargain price? Then check out the Center for Business and Education Partnerships of the Chabot and Las Positas Community College District.

The Center, a freestanding group within the community college district, offers customized, on-site training in a variety of areas.

"As subjects go, probably our most popular are customer service, the computer software training, our Internet classes, and team building," explains program manager Brenda Kuntz. "We also do a lot of training for supervisors."

Other topics include health and safety, organizational success (time management, goal setting), Total Quality Management, ISO, negotiation skills, and many others.

"The best thing about our program is that we really work with companies in trying to customize (our classes) for them," she adds. "We always try to base our training on the performance of the employees, so we'll talk about what the company is currently doing and what they hope to accomplish with the training."

The Center counts a large number of Hacienda companies amongst its clients, including AT&T, California Indemnity, Chrysler, Dillingham Construction, Golden Grain, Hexcel, Lucent Technologies, and Sun Diamond Growers.

The Center also boasts a 20-person computer lab on Santa Rita Road.
